Ahh, the illustrious Dyna Comp. Kind of like the George Washington of compressors, and not because it never tells a lie or cuts down cherry trees, but because this little red box is kind of the forefather of compression pedals. And it doesn’t matter if that’s true or not, it’s how it feels. The Dyna Comp has been around since the 70’s, and there has to be a reason for it, and that reason is it gets the job done. You need sustain, you need to give your Telecaster a nudge, whatever, the Dyna Comp does it with just two knobs, Output and Sensitivity. As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, sell it.
